To learn Blacksmithing, you need to visit a Blacksmithing Trainer and purchase a Blacksmith's Training Manual.

Blacksmithing is a crafting profession complementary to Mining.

You need to purchase a Portable Forge from the trainer.

To begin creating items, right-click on the Portable Forge in your inventory.

Increasing the skill

You can buy materials from the Auction House or trade with other players. Blacksmithing is a relatively expensive profession especially at lower levels. Since Mining is needed to provide the working materials it's very advisable to make an alternative character for mining profession since having two professions is very expensive.
